Painting of two sages, Tam San Hoi Quan Temple, Saigon

The pagoda, constructed in 1839, is dedicated to Me Sanh, the Goddess of Fertility. It is especially popular with women praying for conception. Worshippers congregate in front of Me Sanh’s altar at the back of the temple. On the interior walls of the temple are numerous paintings with beautiful scenes of nature.
